More than 150 guests came to Surya’s expansive High Point showroom during Fall Market to experience The Thursday Show podcast in person. Satya Tiwari, president of Surya, and Mitchell Gold, co-founder of Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, joined the popular podcast’s hosts, BOH’s Dennis Scully and Fred Nicolaus, for a captivating conversation.
The discussion delved into Surya’s acquisition and relaunch of the iconic Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams brand, while also exploring key trends and hot topics shaping the home furnishings industry.
“Sitting down with Satya and Mitchell at High Point, in front of a highly engaged audience, gave us the opportunity to take people deeper inside a story that we know our listeners have been following closely. My thanks again to Surya and Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams for the opportunity,” said Scully, who also hosts The Business of Home Podcast.
“It was a thrill to chat about the issues of the day in front of a crowd that deeply understands and cares about this industry,” said Nicolaus, BOH’s executive editor.
“We are deeply grateful for the overwhelming support from the design community,” said Tiwari. “To see so many of our peers come together to engage in meaningful conversations about the future of our industry—and celebrate the next chapter for Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams—is truly inspiring. This event marks the beginning of an exciting journey, and we are energized by the love and enthusiasm surrounding it.”
“Seeing the passion and excitement from everyone here today is a true testament to the power of community and collaboration,” said Gold. “The turnout and the energy in the room reflected the deep connection designers have with this brand. We’re thrilled to bring it back with a fresh vision, and it’s heartwarming to know that so many are on this journey with us, cheering us on every step of the way.”
