On September 18, Kravet celebrated the unveiling of its new logo alongside the launch of its latest campaign, “Never Basic,” at Ideal Glass Studio in New York, following a panel discussion with the campaign’s four designers and Alexa Hampton at the New York Design Center’s What’s New, What’s Next event. While Kravet is often regarded as a trusted source for design essentials, this bold reintroduction spotlights the brand’s vibrant, patterned side.
The campaign features four distinctive designer spokespeople, each with their own strong creative vision: Shawn Henderson, Jean Liu, Leah Ring and Melanie Turner. Nearly 60 guests enjoyed the fete, including Cary, Lisa, Ellen and Daniel of the Kravet family; Elle Decor’s Elisa Lipsky-Karasz and Benjamin Reynaert; and brand partners Benjamin Moore and The Shade Store.
“We’re thrilled to launch our new campaign alongside our partners Elle Decor, Benjamin Moore and The Shade Store,” said president and CEO Cary Kravet. “After an inspiring day at What’s New, What’s Next, we’re showcasing what is possible with Kravet through the vision of talented designers who brought color, texture and craftsmanship to life in immersive rooms for both the campaign and the celebratory dinner.”
Throughout the evening, Kravet embraced the campaign’s four signature colors: Palm, Amethyst, Peacock and Golden Hour. Guests sat at four color-themed tables adorned with origami flowers crafted by Talo Kawasaki from the brand’s wallcoverings. A curated menu and cocktails conceived by the culinary team at Pinch Food Design also reflected the quartet of shades, and was complemented by selections from Truss Wines. The party was expertly planned by Cassie LaMere Events, with Pooky Lighting adding a stylish glow to the tablescapes and elegant napkin rings by Doty Bennett completing the tableaux.
