At High Point Market this fall, Global Views welcomed designers and industry insiders to its showroom to celebrate the luxury home furnishings company’s recent refresh with a thought-provoking discussion on authenticity in branding.
Moderated by The Business of Home Podcast host Dennis Scully, the panel—featuring Workshop/APD content director David McEachin, Noz Design founder Noz Nozawa, and Blackberry Farm design director Christine Carney—examined how today’s most successful brands are built not on logos or taglines, but on stories and emotional connections.
Panelists shared their perspectives on defining and refining a brand identity that feels both personal and professional, touching on the balance between creative integrity and commercial appeal. Topics ranged from the importance of letting values guide visual expression, to consistency and trust serving as cornerstones of client relationships, to the role of storytelling in translating a firm’s ethos into every touchpoint. The conversation underscored that in a saturated design landscape, authenticity remains the ultimate differentiator.
Surya Inc. president Satya Tiwari made remarks prior to the discussion, welcoming panelists and guests, and gave a toast afterwards, celebrating the brand’s new look and feel and inviting guests to stay for the afterparty.
“Hosting such an insightful group of branding experts at our showroom was an honor, especially as we introduced the refreshed Global Views,” said Tiwari. “Their perspectives affirmed the values guiding our evolution. Authenticity, clarity, and a distinct point of view continue to shape how designers experience our brand.”
