Decor pop-ups appear in New York in time for the holidays

A bevy of design-focused pop-ups are appearing throughout New York just in time for the holiday season. Browse our guide, then browse the goods—all, of course, available for a limited time. 

Panier Home
The brainchild of New York–bred Mieke ten Have and Parisian Lili Diallo, Panier Home, a new lifestyle brand, began when the pair were colleagues and friends at the original Domino magazine. A single-day pop-up, to be held this coming Friday at Beneville Studios, will launch their collaboration. Panier Home will feature the work of artists and designers including Amanda Moffat pottery, Work + Sea wallpaper and custom gift wrap; Kimille Taylor lamps; Fouta Lifestyle Tunisian towels; Voutsa’s new hand-painted lampshades; Bernard Maisner stationery and accessories; and Ben Evans Ceramics café au lait bowls. (Beneville Studios, 9 E. 19th St., 4th floor; Fri, Dec. 9, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.)

Domino Holiday Pop-Up
This season’s magazine is being brought to life at the Domino Holiday Pop-Up, which kicked off last weekend and will run weekends until December 18. “Much of our joy in the holiday season comes from our warm memories of home,” says Nathan Coyle, CEO of Domino. “December is always a month full of hopes and dreams for loved ones and the New Year. Drawing from this universal outlook, Domino will curate a Holiday Dream concept to bring people together in a colorful, festive and inspired environment.” Holiday workshops include a screen-printing class with Pamela Bell of Prinkshop and a festive food-decorating workshop with Chef Camille Becerra. (35 Great Jones St.; Fri to Sun, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.)

WantedDesign Holiday Market
With WantedDesign’s Holiday Market, shopping meets entertainment meets education at Industry City, the Brooklyn waterfront home to design brands like Bend Goods, Base Modern, FontanaArte and more. (Children are invited to play with an interactive magnetic wall by Visual Magnetics, or watch a movie during screenings run by Sony Life Space UX.) Among the festivities: Visitors can meet with makers, designers and company reps to learn more about the products, and visit the Kikkerland Log Cabin and the Design Within Reach Lounge, both onsite. (Industry City, 241 37th St., between 2nd and 3rd Aves., second floor, Brooklyn; Fri, Dec. 9, noon to 5 p.m.; Sat, Dec. 10, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sun, Dec. 11, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.)

Bernardaud Waldorf Astoria New York Pop-Up Experience
Top French porcelain manufacturer Bernardaud is debuting tableware, decorative objects and gifts now until Christmas day at a pop-up in New York’s historic Waldorf Astoria hotel. On sale: the La Chine tea set, which features design based on the cherry blossom trees found in the decor of the hotel’s La Chine restaurant. Other goods for grabs include a collection of festive metallic vases and pieces from the Aux Oiseaux collection, inspired by the curiosity cabinets of the 16th and 17th centuries.
