About the Role
Nordic Knots is looking for a dynamic PRO Sales & Retail Manager to join our team at the New York Flagship Store. This is a hybrid role designed for someone who thrives at the intersection of retail and professional trade sales. The ideal candidate will bring both a strong background in client-facing retail and the ability to cultivate and grow relationships with interior designers, architects, and trade partners.
We are building a company around thoughtful and long-lasting design, strong relationships, and great customer experience. In this role, you will be at the forefront of representing Nordic Knots to both consumers and PRO clients, helping to drive sales in-store, build loyalty with design professionals, and contribute to the growth of our flagship market.
About You
Relationship builder: You excel at cultivating long-term connections with both retail clients and the design trade.
Sales expertise: Proven track record in driving sales targets and growing client bases in retail or trade.
Design eye: Strong knowledge of high-end interiors, textiles, rugs, and furnishings; you can advise as a trusted design partner.
Organized & detail-oriented: You thrive in balancing sales responsibilities with operational showroom needs.
Entrepreneurial spirit: You are proactive, results-driven, and energized by being part of a growing brand.
Collaborative teammate: Personable, positive, and motivated to uplift colleagues across teams.
Key Responsibilities
PRO & Trade Sales:
-Build and grow relationships with PRO clients (interior designers, architects, decorators, developers) who engage with the brand through the New York flagship.
-Drive growth through new trade account sign-ups, personalized consultations, and ongoing client relationship management.
-Support the Sales Director in refining trade sales processes, from onboarding to loyalty-building activities.
-Introduce new collections to trade clients and make each launch a flagship moment.
-Represent Nordic Knots at local trade events, appointments, and in-store activations.
Retail Sales & Client Engagement:
-Act as a brand ambassador on the sales floor, delivering an excellent client experience to new and existing trade clients.
-Provide expert guidance on rugs, curtains, and textiles, assisting clients with product selection, customization, and design recommendations.
-Convert sales through in-store and virtual consultations, follow-ups, and quoting.
-Achieve and exceed store sales targets, contributing to overall retail and PRO success.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
-Partner with PRO, Retail, and CX teams
-Share insights from trade and retail clients with sales, marketing, and design teams to strengthen future launches and engagement strategies.
-Contribute to a sales-forward and service-driven culture within the flagship team.
Qualifications:
-3+ years of sales experience in retail, trade, or interior design industries.
-Strong understanding of the design community in New York City.
-Prior experience with rugs, textiles, or home furnishings strongly preferred.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Comfortable with digital sales tools and virtual consultations.
-Proactive and willing to take initiative
