Northworks Architects & Planners is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Interior Associate to join our team. This full-time, in-office position is ideal for designers who are passionate about interiors and thrive in a collaborative environment. The Interior Associate will play a key role in supporting the interior design team through all phases of high-end residential and commercial projects.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily support to the interior design team on multiple projects, from concept through installation
- Assist in developing and organizing FF&E presentations, material palettes, and specification documents
- Source and select furnishings, finishes, fixtures, and accessories
- Request and manage samples from vendors to support design development
- Coordinate with vendors, fabricators, and contractors to ensure design intent and quality are achieved
- Maintain and organize material libraries and sample inventory
- Prepare client presentations, design documentation, and pricing summaries
- Collaborate closely with architects and senior interior designers to ensure design continuity and quality
- Support senior team members with project coordination and client communications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field
- 1–3 years of professional or internship experience in an interior design studio
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
- Experience with Studio Designer is a major plus
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to balance multiple project deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment
