Job Description

KRB is seeking a full-time IN PERSON, highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Controller and Operations Manager to support our shop team. This newly created role combines daily bookkeeping and financial record-keeping as well as operational management. In addition this position will work closely with the owner and our director to place purchase orders for inventory as well as supplies. We are eager to add a polished, team player, with a great attitude to our team. While the position is full-time in person, there is some flexibility to the hours as long as they are within normal business hours. There is also the possibility of WFH on Fridays. The shop and e-commerce website run on Shopify —knowledge of Shopify is helpful, knowledge of Quickbooks is essential. You should also be more than proficient with the Google work suite and dropbox.

While this is not a sales position, an interest in or some knowledge of design is a plus.

Salary: 80-90K DOE as well as health insurance.

Job Requirements

Financial
-Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and other financial accounts. Including invoice processing.
-Prepare and maintain financial reports and budgets, including recording daily transactions, such as purchase orders, vendor invoices, and operating expenses
-Calculate monthly commission for the team.
-Reconcile bank and credit card statements and ensure accuracy of financial records.
-Generate Monthly Balance Sheet and P&L from QB.
-Tracking of Inventory and incorporating ending month inventory totals into QB.
-Work with our accounting firm regarding sales taxes and general taxes. File Sales Tax Returns for the various states for which KRB has economic nexus. The returns(prepared by the accounting firm) need to be filed(the accountant can help initially) and you will need to be aware of each states filing threshold for future filings. We have a schedule of each state’s minimum filing threshold.
-Reconcile all UPS, FEDex, DHL bills. Negotiate overall shipping rates as well as manage and facilitate duties and customs on imported items.
-Handle employee reimbursements and track receipts for costs of goods sold
Operations
-Generate and run all purchase orders for both merchandise and shop goods.
-Manage the health insurance plan
-Manage office supplies and shipping supplies including Uline, Staples, Freshdirect
-Troubleshoot/manage building related issues through communication with landlord representatives, our contractor and other vendors(HVAC, Trash Pick up, window washing)
-HR Assistance such as recruitment and new employee onboarding, as well as maintaining employee records. Assist in managing staff schedules, including paid time off (PTO) requests
-Coordinate with IT personnel as needed
