New York interior designer Steven Gambrel is the tenth collaborator to create a collection with Urban Electric. Other designers include Richard Mishaan, Amanda Nisbet, Tom Scheerer and Darryl Carter. The Charleston, an SC-based company, is run by Dave Dawson, who was on hand to debut the collection in NYC alongside Gambrel.

His monograph, Steven Gambrel: Time and Place, was published this Spring.

All twelve designs in the collection are made in America. The spun-aluminum body of one of the hanging lights can be powder coated in over 1,000 colors. Gambrel also designed the first fixture Urban Electric has ever created specifically for LEDs, something the designer insisted on.
