“C&G is a strong company with award-winning brands that are responsive and beloved in their marketplaces,” CEO Marianne Howatson said in a statement. “However, given the cost associated with producing such a high-level, quality publication that was uniquely dedicated to the San Francisco Bay Area, we were not able to get the return that the company requires.”
The magazine’s editor in chief, Alisa Carroll, will publish the editorial from the October issue on CottagesGardens
.com. She will stay at the company as an editor at large.
