CALIFORNIA
New York design brand Voutsa has opened a Los Angeles outpost that it shares with New York decor brand The Gilded Owl. Housed in a former acupuncture studio, the space features Voutsa fabrics, wallpapers and furniture alongside The Gilded Owl’s collectible design. (6917 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles)
EAST COAST
Boston has a new creative hub: Modern Relik, which just opened in the South End. The 6,000-square-foot shop will have objet, lighting, furniture and accessories, as well as a design department run by local designer John Dransfield and an espresso bar run by local restaurateur Michela Larson. Luxury carpet brand Surya has opened a 7,000-square-foot showroom in the Boston Design Center. The company hopes to continue its U.S. expansion; this showroom is Surya's first in the Northeast and mirrors the space the brand opened at the Mart in Chicago in 2018. Italian home accessories brand Society Limonta has opened a New York flagship. The brand was previously available at ABC Home, and this dedicated store is its first in the U.S. (78 Grand Street, New York)
Online direct-to-consumer mattress brand Saatva opened its first brick-and-mortar in the New York design district. The store was designed by local interior designer Vicente Wolf. Instead of a large in-person sales team, there are iPads beside each mattress. (969 3rd Avenue, New York)
FLORIDA
Mexican interiors brand Dupuis and sister Spanish brand Becara have made their U.S. debut in the Miami Design District. (4100 NE 2nd Avenue, Suite 105, Miami)
California-headquartered home brand Serena & Lily has opened its first location in Florida. The 4,000-square-foot shop offers objet and other decor, including works by local artists in Palm Beach. (101 County Road, Palm Beach, Florida)
SOUTHEAST
Belgian furniture brand Dôme Deco has moved into the former showroom occupied by The Phillips Collection in AmericasMart. Its current showroom is on the 13th floor, and will be used to market cash-and-carry goods. The brand is looking to expand its presence in the U.S. market, as it already has a strong European footprint. (24 John Portman Boulevard, 13-C3, Atlanta)
TEXAS
Atlanta-based lighting brand Savoy House is expanding its showroom at the Dallas Market Center. Doubling in size from the existing showroom into neighboring space, the nearly 15,000-square-foot showroom will open in June 2020. Savoy is one of 60 lighting brands that have recently expanded at Dallas Market Center, contributing to over 180,000 square feet dedicated to lighting. (2100 N. Stemmons Freeway, TM 4901, Dallas)
