Twelve designers tackle 12 rooms in a single home using fine and decorative arts sourced (and available at auction) from Sotheby’s. Designed by Bunny Williams, Sandra Nunnerley, Patrick Mele, Jenny Wolf, and more, At Home: Sotheby’s Designer Showhouse and Auction will be on exhibit April 9 throught 16. The designers, which include both up-and-coming and established names from the tri-state area as well as the West Coast, will use furnishings from Sotheby’s departments, including 20th Century Design, English & Continental Furniture, Ceramics, Fine Arts, Prints, Silver, and Photograph. The showhouse will culminate with a special auction of the furnishings, to be held April 17.
“At Home: Sotheby’s Designer Showhouse and Auction offers both the seasoned and new collector a range of objects of varying forms and from numerous centuries presented through the eyes of our incredibly talented interior designers," shares Csongor Kis, a specialist in Sotheby’s French & Continental Furniture department. "We explore the endless possibilities of combining art from the past and present into a timeless aesthetic that truly makes you feel at home.”
Trey LaFave Architecture and Interiors is developing the 6,300-square-foot architectural design. The full roster of participating interior designers and firms includes:
