The IIDA Student Mentoring Program is now accepting student and mentor applications. The program pairs 800-plus interior design students and mentors, including design professionals, manufacturer representatives, dealers and educators. IIDA chooses the pairings based on location, and then the student-mentor teams meet for a one-day job-shadowing session during March 2016, dedicated to “learning everything they can about interior design.”

Some potential activities include a firm, factory or showroom tour; portfolio or resume review; client meetings; site visits; team brainstorming sessions; project presentations; review of contracts and client binders; new software demos; and Q&A sessions.

The deadline to register is January 25, 2016. Learn more and apply. IIDA will notify all participants of their pairings on February 8, 2016.
