The annual two-day market at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood will host an exciting line-up of presentations and events taking place Wednesday, March 21 and Thursday, March 22.

Kicking off the market at 10:00 a.m. on March 21, Architectural Digest editor in chief Margaret Russell will present In Focus: Trends in Interiors Photography. In a concise, informative presentation, Russell will discuss the latest trends in architectural and interior-design photography— covering everything from how to prepare your projects for photo shoots to how to effectively promote your work both in print and online. Celebrated photographers Roger Davies and Grey Crawford, contributors to Architectural Digest, will join her for a brief Q+A, providing exclusive expert insight from the other side of the camera lens. A reception will follow at Cowtan & Tout, Suite B647.

At 3:30 p.m., California Home+Design Executive Editor Erin Feher will present 'The Rise of the Rock Star Designer' with David Bromstad (HGTV’s Color Splash), Martyn Lawrence-Bullard (Bravo’s Million Dollar Decorators), Antonio Ballatore (HGTV’s The Antonio Treatment), and Kathryn Ireland (Bravo’s Million Dollar Decorators), to discuss how fame has impacted their lives, helped them build their brand and changed the way the world looks at design. "Paparazzi, autograph seekers and fan mail—these are not things that interior designers of ten years ago had to deal with. But today, thanks to the proliferation of design-worshiping bloggers, the increased quality and accessibility of shelter magazines, and television programs based around the drama of picking the perfect sofa, interior designers have stepped out from behind the curtain to become rock stars in their own right," said Feher. A reception will follow at Andrew Martin, Suite G295.

On Thursday morning, March 22, Charlotte Moss, Suzanne Kasler, David Netto and Gaye Tapp partake in a lively discussion moderated by Editor at Large's Vanessa Kogevinas on the five most exciting rooms, beautiful places and inspiring people. Reception to follow at Fabricut, Suite B470.

That afternoon, California Homes Editor-in-Chief, Susan McFadden, discusses Successful Partnering on Luxury Estates: How to Maintain a Perfect Storm without Stormy Weather. The top residential luxury estate team discusses the art of successful partnering on high-end homes. The city’s leading estate professionals, including architect William Hefner, estate designer Monique Lafia, landscape designer Mark David Levine, and construction manager, Bart Mendel will share their impressive system for superb communication, on-the-job reporting, and seamless estate choreography so that everyone on the team shines, especially the homeowner. Currently, the high-end residential market is on the rise, and this ‘A’ team will discuss the reasons for this, and the ‘trickle-down’ economics that luxury estates are bringing to the entire design industry. A reception will follow at Elevator Boutique, Suite B110.
