Interior designer Markham Roberts will premiere the first of three lectures in the Fall Lecture Style Series at Boscobel, the 19th century country house in Garrison, New York, on September 18. Roberts, of Markham Roberts Interior Design in New York, will walk attendees through his design process, following a unique format: he'll structure the talk just like a design project, starting off with floor plan, furniture layout, color palette and fabric schemes and progressing on to art choice and furniture selection.

Roberts's work spans mansions in Florida, Montana ski homes, Puget Sound compounds, New York apartments and Long Island estates, among others.

His book, Decorating: The Way I See It, will be on hand for purchase and signing. The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Boscobel Mansion, Grand Entry Hall, 1601 Route 9D, Garrison, NY, 10524. Space is limited to 40 guests and tickets are $20 per person. Learn more and register here. The series will continue with talks from Janice Parker on September 25 and Linda O'Keeffe on October 2. The series is sponsored by Munder-Skiles Garden Furniture.
