Lonny readership is up, following Aufeminin acquisition
By Staff

Lonny, the monthly online publication that was launched in October 2009, is experiencing an uptick in growth. Since Lonny.com's acquisition— Aufeminin, a European women’s lifestyle website owned by Axel Springer AG, bought Livingly Media, Inc. (which includes Lonny.com, Stylebistro.com and Zimbio.com) in February of this year—the publication has seen a growth in readership. Explains Tony Mamone, co-founder of Livingly Media, “We had 3.5 million readers in June and served more than 70 million page views, with both stats up more than 20 percent since we closed the acquisition in February. We’ve also moved up a bit in comScore's 'Home' rankings in the last four months, from 18 to 16.”

The magazine is also playing with new publishing schedules this summer season, with plans to publish fewer monthly issues and, instead, more newsletters: four per week, up from one weekly. Issues will still be released, but as special editions. As Mamone explains, “We're sending out the same original home tours and market finds that we've always done. We used to store these up and then release them all at once, but now we're just publishing as we go.”
