LEGENDS 2016 will unfold May 3 through May 5 under a recently announced theme: "One of a Kind." The La Cienega Design Quarter (LCDQ) announced the theme and the event's dates on October 1 during a membership meeting that also screened a new video series about the event and its 2015 highlights.

Next year's festival will be the first time in its eight-year history that the opening night gala will be held on a Tuesday, with parties and programs held the following two days. The LCDQ is also planning to offer a home tour on Friday, May 6, along with open houses at the 58 participating member showrooms. The theme will be expressed via the event's signature showcase: the transformation of the design district's showroom windows. (The 2015 event featured 65 designers' vignettes inspired by the theme "Where Muses Dwell.")

This year's festival hosted 10,000 visitors from 21 states and five countries, among them designers, bloggers and other pros and aficionados. Some of the 2015 participants included Betsy Burnham, Amy Meier, Jason Oliver Nixon, Julia Buckingham, Kerry Joyce, Kendall Wilkinson, Elizabeth Dinkel, Ken Fulk, Ryan Saghian, Susan Cohen, Timothy Corrigan, Vance Burke, Young Huh and others.

LEGENDS' registration website will go live in January 2016.
