Jessica Tolliver named President of IFDA NY Chapter

"My goal for 2013 is to continue to raise the profile of this vital organization and attract new members who will add their ideas and talents to the mix," said Jessica Tolliver of Jessica Tolliver Marketing and PR.  "We have an outstanding calendar of educational and fun events planned.  IFDA is committed to creating exciting forums where members and extended community can learn about 'what's next' for the industry—whether it's trends, technologies, or amazing young talent."

Along with Tolliver, the following members will serve on the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA) Executive Board in 2013: Kara Marmion, President Elect; Linda Kulla, FIFDA, Treasurer; Janette Greenberg, Recording Secretary; and Claudia Giselle Tejeda, Past President/Treasurer Elect.

The IFDA 2013 Board of Directors include Andrea Algaze, VP Programs; Claire Coleman, FIFDA, Founding Member and Director at Large; Rose Gilbert, FIFDA, VP Communications & Publications; Trevor Godwin, Student Liaison; Su Hilty, VP Financial Resources and Special Events; Susan Hirsh, VP Education/Educational Foundation; Anna Israel, Student Liaison; Maria Malpica, VP Membership Recruitment; Lisa McMahon, VP Public Relations; Rose Ott, VP Social Media; Michelle Slovak, VP Membership Retention; Tamara Stephenson, VP Communications & Publications; Wendy Silverstein, VP Programs; and Lauren Stern, VP Social Media. Rosemarie Hittmeyer continues in her role as the New York Office Administrator.

IFDA founded in New York City in 1947 and now, with 16 chapters worldwide, provides a professional forum for communication and interaction among its high-profile members. A not-for-profit volunteer-run association, it also promotes career advancement and educational opportunities and is structured to increase public awareness of the furnishings and design industry through specialized programming, networking and service to the community.
