IFDA to honor New York’s “Rising Stars of Design”

The New York chapter of the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA) will host its annual Rising Stars of Design gala at the New York Design Center’s Christopher Guy showroom on Tuesday, November 19.

Interior designer Amanda Nisbet will serve as Master of Ceremonies, introducing and awarding this year’s honorees: Jon Call of Mr. Call DesignsJoan Dineen and Alyson Liss-Pobiner of Dineen Architecture, and John Loecke and Jason Oliver Nixon of Madcap Cottage.

Celebrating its diversity of membership and mission as the only all-industry design and furnishings association, IFDA will also be honoring a product designer for the first time: Gabriel Hendifar and Jeremy Anderson for Apparatus.

“Our Rising Stars are selected based on their innovative and unique visions and their commitment to the highest-quality craftsmanship, design and originality,” said Jessica Tolliver, president of IFDA New York. "We are delighted to be honoring such a talented group of designers."

Pre-event registration is open to IFDA members for $20 and guests for $40. IFDA student member are free and student guests are $20. To purchase tickets, click here.

The IFDA was founded in New York City in 1947 and now, with 16 chapters worldwide, provides a professional forum for communication and interaction among its high-profile members.
