This spring’s High Point Market brought brilliant designs, new colors, styles, textures and trends all together for designers to explore. Released last week, the Market’s Style Report gathers hundreds of products and offers a forecast of the latest trends and looks that will be in stores this season.

Here’s a look at what was included in the Spring Market Style Report:

Blue Is the New Emerald—Emerald may be making noise at the consumer level, but those in the know are feeling a sea change as trends move back to the blue spectrum.

The Power of Purple—We’ve been telling you that purple is about to make a grand entrance, and this Market we saw a plethora of the royal hues.

Proud as a Peacock—There is a particular shade of blue-green that can only be found in a peacock feather, and that proud hue took the spotlight at High Point Market.

The Perfect Pairing—There are perfect duos in the world – Bogey and Bacall, peas and carrots, night and day, but the pairing of black and white tops them all.

Animal Kingdom—Animal prints are nothing new, but this trend takes a more realistic approach with heads, shells, and forms that celebrate fauna.

Great Grains—Painted and lacquered finishes may be spotted here and there, but going with the grain is the trend to beat as exhibitors showcase the best of the natural order.

Hexagons and Honeycombs—Geometric shapes never go out of style, but taking the Queen Bee award for style is the honeycomb hexagon.

Stitched Up—There is a new appreciation for older arts, like stitch-craft. From embroidery to quilting to cross-stitch, needlework is making its mark, even in whimsical ways.

Eastern Encounter—Asian influences abound in home furnishings taking inspiration from Old Shanghai with sophistication and polish.

Down by the Seashore—Spring turns our thoughts to warmer weather, and to the seashore. Nautical looks raise a flag for fair sailing and stylish décor.

Cultivated Coral—The beautiful branches and swirls of coral are both a stylish nod to coastal design and also pay homage to the natural world.

Branching Out—Branches make a distinct decor statement, reaching out for new realms to conquer.

Sound the Horn—Design details definitely went au naturel this Market, with natural and faux horn showing up as a finish detail or a full-form look.

Champagne Shimmer—Taking the best of two runway trends, exhibitors combined champagne-colored nudes with shine detail for an effervescent finish.

Hide and Sleek—Shagreen, alligator, and snakeskin showed their sleek side for an elegant effect.

Lucite Love—Clearly we can’t get enough of this flexibly transparent material.

Circle Your Seats—Remember the classic Eero Arnio egg chair? Exhibitors showcase that style of embracing design with a circuitous style.

Linked In—Links of metal formed fantastic designs at the spring Market.

Type Casting—The need to look back while designing forward is really making its mark, particularly those distinctive typewriter strikes.

Know When to Fold ’Em—Origami is a fine art, showcasing the ability to bend and fold new shapes, which is exactly what exhibitors did at Market.

Gaming the System—Exhibitors weren’t playing around last Market, showcasing serious style for those who love games.

Shelve It—Storage is the key to any well-organized home, but why sacrifice style and a sense of whimsy? These shelves make a great statement for any room.

The Finishing Touch—It’s those little details that add the final touch to any design, and hardware has gone to new style heights with buckles, slides, buttons, and bows.

Geek Chic—It’s a well-known scientific fact that geeks are now chic, as these experimental designs prove.

Metal Works—Metal is the new material of choice, particularly if it can be reclaimed and refashioned into a new style.

It’s a Wrap—Lacing and wrapping is embracing new styles for spring.

A Bevy of Blooms—Floral looks morphed into large single blooms or single stems this spring, taking a departure from the small patterns we’ve seen in the past.

Vintage Wicker—Summer days on the veranda are just begging for vintage wicker seats and lemonade. Designers at Market provided one of the two.
