Gift for Life, the home and gift industries' nationwide charity, raised almost $8,000 for DIFFA via a holiday pop-up store that ran December 2 to 6 in New York. Dozens of industry suppliers and designers contributed product for the sale. The store concept was created by students from the Fashion Institute of Technology and LIM College, as part of an annual "Iron Design" Student Challenge hosted by the Retail Design Institute.
“This collaboration with the Retail Design Institute offered our industry a creative new way to support the fight against HIV/AIDS,” said Frank Joens, chair of the Gift for Life board. “We are delighted that so many of our industry’s top vendors donated products for resale through the Holiday Pop-Up Shop.”
