Editoratlarge.com and the Cohen Design Centers have announced a continued partnership for winter and spring 2010 market events, following the success of The Editor at Large–sponsored keynote, The Evolution of Design, which kicked off Fall Market at New York's Decoration & Design Building (D&D).

In 2010, the Editor at Large team will host keynote presentations at Cohen Design Centers in Southeast Florida's Design Center of the Americas in Dania Beach (DCOTA), West Hollywood's Pacific Design Center (PDC), and the Decorative Center of Houston (DCH), exploring innovative ideas and technology that are reshaping the design industry.

More than 200 people attended the D&D keynote on October 7 where notable designers and designer-bloggers discussed The Evolution of Design. Panelists discussed topics such as how the internet has changed the design trade; whether social networking can help grow a decorator’s client list; and if a brand or showroom’s reputation is impacted by the quality of its website.

“We were excited to see The Editor at Large gather so many members of our design community to discuss how new technology is impacting the industry. We think it’s something everyone is eager to discuss,” said Bobby Contini, VP Marketing, Cohen design Centers.

Several panelists from the D&D keynote will join moderator Sophie Donelson, Editoratlarge.com contributing editor, and founder, Julia Noran, to bring this discussion on the road. The panel will be presented at the DCOTA (January 13), PDC (March 24) and DCH (April 28).

The 2010 Evolution of Design panelists vary for each market and include notable personalities such as: Michael Bruno, Founder of 1stDibs.com, Jillian St. Charles, Vice President and Site Director of HGTV.com, Phoebe Howard, Founder of MrsHowardPersonalShopper.com, Brian Patrick Flynn, Founder of DécorDemon.com (upcoming) and On-Air Designer for TBS “Movie and a Makeover,” Brad Ford, Founder DesignTherapy.com, Ronda Carman, Founder of AlltheBestBlog.com, Joni Webb, Founder of CotedeTexas.blogspot.com, and Vanessa de Vargas, Founder of Turquoise-la.blogspot.com, ApartmentTherapy.com contributor, founder of Designer Networking Group and host of Designer Tag Sale.

Julia Noran, founding partner of The Editor at Large said, “We are so excited to bring this discussion across the country. The Cohen Design Centers are the brick-and-mortar communities of the nation’s top design talent—and Editorarlarge.com aims to represent this community online."

In addition to the panel discussion, The Editor at Large will host monthly portfolio review breakfast events at the D&D Building. Editoratlarge.com contributing editors and a special guest editor from an Editoratlarge.com subscriber publication will review designers’ portfolios to help them identify their most editorial projects and images.
