The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and the Society of British and International Design (SBID) are partnering on a program to be presented at Downtown Design in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, over the October 27 to 30 fair. Downtown Design is the Middle East's only regional fair for local pros to discover international design. The two organizations will present on internationally recognized projects, with panelists and contributors including Cheryl Durst, IIDA executive vice president and CEO; Scott Hierlinger, IIDA president; and Vanessa Brady, SBID founder and president, taking the stage.

“This is an exciting opportunity for IIDA, and we are pleased and honored to be partnering with SBID to present this inaugural program in Dubai to celebrate and articulate design excellence from the many design specialties, from workplace to health care,” Durst said. “Dubai has become an epicenter of design and creativity. Downtown Design is a perfect fit for this program, and IIDA and SBID look forward to promoting and sustaining knowledge-rich opportunities for this design community.”

Last year's Downtown Design fair

For its third year, the fair will unfold in the Dubai Design District. Further details will be released in August.
