COSMIT pushes SaloneUfficio back a year to 2011

COSMIT has taken the wishes of its exhibiting companies on board and has pushed the event back by a year. The Board of Directors reached this decision in the wake of a survey carried out among its exhibitors at the request of the companies themselves.

The current financial climate does in fact dictate a rationalization of the trade fair calendar, and thus COSMIT has decided to hold SaloneUfficio in 2011, a year in which no other sectorial trade fairs have been scheduled at international level.

“As a company, COSMIT operates under the aegis of the trade association FederlegnoArredo, and its mission first and foremost is to do its best for the companies under its umbrella” – explains Carlo Guglielmi, COSMIT’s President. “We thought it expedient to keep our ear to the ground vis à vis our exhibitors’ requirements and to put together a specific project bringing SaloneUfficio in line with Euroluce. Given the great affinity between the world of the workplace and the world of lighting, our decision to hold the International Biennial Workspace Exhibition and the International Lighting Exhibition in tandem means that the overall range will be even broader, especially as regards the planning and contract worlds.”

This rescheduling means that all the exhibition space can be exploited to the full, having previously proved too confined to be able to accommodate all COSMIT’s applicants. Marketing initiatives aimed at exhibitors and visitors will be launched over the next few months, and a special communiqué will be issued during 2010 specifically targeted at all visitors and companies with a view to giving greater visibility to the office sector.

With regard to I Saloni 2010, flanking the Salone Internaxionale del Mobile will be the biennial Eurocucina (International Kitchen Furniture Exhibition) in tandem with FTK (Technology For the Kitchen) devoted to technological innovation in built-in domestic appliances, the International Bathroom Furniture Exhibition, the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition and SaloneSatellite.
