The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) is boosting its online referral service, which connects interior designers and consumers, by partnering with design website Decorati to create the ASID Designer Matching Service. This new service matches consumers and designers based on a detailed criterion including location, aesthetic preferences and budget. A sophisticated algorithm identifies ASID members whose specialties match the project, streamlining the process for both designer and consumer.
In addition to this new portal, ASID members will be included in the Decorati.com Design Advisor leads list and will receive consumer project leads that are generated through Decorati.com. In the past, ASID has offered members an online referral service that allowed designers to post their portfolio and details of their specialties, awards and fees. While this referral service will still exist, this new partnership with Decorati is intended to better assist ASID members in finding projects and the prominent position of Decorati.com will offer designers and consumers a wider range of possibilities.
“We are committed to improving access to interior design, and a big part of that mission is to make it easier for consumers to find professional advice,” said Shane Reilly, Founder and CEO of Decorati. “We are excited to work with ASID and its member designers to expand our network of qualified professionals across the country.”
“This new partnership is mutually beneficial for both our members and consumers,” said Michael Alin, Hon. FASID, executive director of ASID. “Our designers will have access to more opportunities and consumers will be certain they are working with the designer who is best suited to their needs.”
