Gary Sohmers, who appears on the PBS television program, Antiques Roadshow, will be doing appraisals at The Pier Antiques Show this weekend, November 14-15. Gary appraises items as varied as Sixties Rock Concert Posters and Depression era dolls. Show organizers encourage visitors to dig through their attic or closets and bring all finds to Gary to find out what they are worth. Verbal Appraisals are $5 per item, which will be donated to charity.

The Pier Antiques Show brings together over 500 exhibitor booths featuring Americana and decorative arts in one area; another area features twentieth century Modern art, furniture, fantastic costume jewelry, and fine furnishings; a third section focuses on the classics - fine art and furniture, silver and porcelains, posters and prints, estate jewelry, and art glass.

Show hours are Saturday and Sunday, 10am-6pm. Admission is $15. Pier 94 is located at 55th Street and 12th Avenue, New York City. See www.stellashows.com for exhibitor lists and additional information
