Twelve-plus Amazon reps (or “Amazonians,” as the brand puts it), hosted the Amazon Fair at High Point earlier this month. The fair, which took place in the Amazon Home showroom at the IHFC, was designed to provide vendors with personal consulting on how to better operate on the digital marketplace. It also dedicated a full day to assisting vendors with tasks like promotions, imaging, direct fulfillment and other digital business questions.
The fair also offered assistance to businesses just starting out on the site as vendors, as well as to would-be vendors. While the event didn’t showcase any brands, the showroom itself did spotlight 30-something brands that are available on Amazon.com, including: Abbyson Living, Adesso, Ashley Furniture, Baxton Studio, Coaster, Furniture of America, Great Big Canvas, Homelegance, Imax, Jaipur Living, JLA Home/Madison Park, Kenroy Home, ModShop, Modway, Momeni, nuLOOM, Pulaski, Renwil, Rizzy Home, Safavieh, Sagebrook Home, Serta Simmons, South Shore, Surya, Torre & Tagus and Zinus.
Amazon says it is exploring plans for hosting iterations of the Amazon Fair at other trade shows. It also launched its first-ever furniture brands, Stone & Beam, and Rivet.
