After many successful Innovation in Design Awards (IDA) with its sister magazines CTC&G (Connecticut Cottages & Gardens) and HC&G (Hamptons Cottages & Gardens), NYC&G (New York Cottages and Gardens) will host its own IDA Awards this fall honoring Holly Hunt and other top New York designers and firms.

Holly Hunt

Hunt will receive the NYC&G Innovator award, which is presented to an icon of the design industry—one who has achieved an overarching level of innovation and excellence, and whose work and vision has touched various corners of the globe. Previous innovators chosen by HC&G and CTC&G include Vincente Wolf, Jack Lenor Larsen, Stephanie Odegard, Alexa Hampton, Bunny Williams and Jonathan Adler.

The IDAs will recognize top designs across the New York City area and will be judged by the following panel of influencers: Amanda Nisbet of Amanda Nisbet Design, Thomas O’Brien of Aero Studios, Katie Ridder of Katie Ridder Design & Decoration, Matthew Patrick Smyth of Matthew Patrick Smyth Interior Design, Barbara Sallick of Waterworks and Carl D’Aquino of D’AquinoMonaco.

Categories include architecture, interiors, kitchen, bath, garden and product design. The winners will be announced at a gala on September 18 at the Harvard Club in New York City. The winning projects will be featured in the NYC&G 2013 Holiday issue.

The deadline for entries is Tuesday, June 25. For information on how to enter, click here.
