A strong digital strategy is crucial in today’s competitive landscape. Done right, a compelling presence on, say, Instagram can translate into increased profitability. So if you’ve put online marketing on the back burner, now is the time to move it forward. Creative director and marketing guru Christie Kuehner Tonnessen is here to show you how. Whether you’re looking to attract clients on social media, submit work for press, or curate your online portfolio, you’ll learn how to plan and execute content that works across different formats to amplify your brand and express your design philosophy. In this workshop, Tonnessen will review digital best practices to ensure your content aligns with platform specs and press standards, then walk you through a real-world project timeline to highlight key promotional opportunities—from early design and site visits to installation and final photography. You’ll also learn how to evaluate when it’s worth hiring professional content creators and when producing posts in-house can be just as effective. This August class offers the perfect opportunity to turn up the heat on your social profile just before the busy fall season.

In this class, attendees will learn:
- How to define a content strategy that reflects your design voice and business goals
- Digital best practices for content capture that are optimized for social media, websites and press
- A step-by-step breakdown of content opportunities at every project phase
- How to evaluate when to hire professional photographers/videographers vs. creating content in-house

After this class, attendees will have:
- A strategic framework to capture and share content throughout the life of a project
- A set of platform-ready best practices for optimizing photos, videos and written content
- Clear guidance on content investment: what to create in-house and when to outsource
- A more intentional, sustainable approach to content creation that saves time and elevates brand perception

Additional Information:
This workshop is conducted through Zoom webinar. All you need to join is reliable internet access and computer speakers with good volume.
