Mimi & Hill is seeking a Senior Interior Designer / Design Director to take a leadership role at our busy, established interior design firm. This position is ideal for a confident, highly organized designer with a strong point of view who can both lead projects and mentor a team—while seamlessly aligning with the Mimi & Hill aesthetic.
This is a hands-on role for a senior designer with a minimum of 6+ years of high-end residential design experience. You must be fluent in CAD, deeply knowledgeable about construction and detailing, and capable of guiding projects from concept through installation with clarity and grace.

Responsibilities
* Lead projects through the full design cycle, from initial concept development to installation and final review
* Develop and oversee design concepts, furniture and lighting plans, specifications, elevations, and presentation materials
* Collaborate closely with the Principals and design team to refine concepts and produce detailed construction documents, elevations, and FF&E packages
* Research and source materials, finishes, hardware, fabrics, furnishings, window treatments, and accessories
* Create and manage project budgets, scopes, timelines, schedules, and client presentations
* Attend site meetings, clearly communicate design intent, and coordinate with architects, contractors, vendors, and fabricators
* Manage ongoing client communication with professionalism, clarity, and responsiveness
* Oversee project installations, ensuring design integrity, quality control, and exceptional attention to detail
* Act as a leader within the studio—setting the tone, mentoring designers, and upholding Mimi & Hill standards
Qualifications
* Minimum 6+ years of experience as a senior interior designer in a high-end residential design firm
* Advanced proficiency in CAD (required)
* Strong design point of view with the ability to adapt and evolve within the Mimi & Hill aesthetic
* Deep understanding of construction, detailing, and custom fabrication
* Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
* Calm, professional presence with clients and collaborators
* A collaborative mindset and genuine interest in being part of a long-term team
