Our expanding company is seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our team in Norwalk, CT. We specialize in supplying the interior design trade with luxury textiles for high-end residential projects, and we are looking for a dedicated individual to be part of our rapidly growing rug business.
About the Role:
As a Product Manager, you will serve as a key liaison between our sales teams, vendors, and logistics teams, ensuring seamless communication and coordination throughout the product lifecycle. This role requires a proactive, hands-on approach, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Key responsibilities:
• Product Coordination: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from order processing and production to delivery, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
• Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, negotiating pricing, lead times, and production details.
• Sales & Customer Support: Assist the sales team with product inquiries, availability, and specifications.
• Problem Solving & Critical Thinking: Address challenges in production, supply chain, and fulfillment by identifying and implementing effective solutions.
• Communication & Collaboration: Act as the central communication hub, ensuring that information flows smoothly between internal teams and external partners.
What we’re looking for:
• Experienced: At least 3-5 years of experience in production management, purchasing, or a related field. Experience in the textiles, home furnishings, or interior design industry a big plus.
• Organized & Detail-Oriented: Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
• Strong Communicator: Skilled in clear and concise communication across different teams and external partners.
• Critical Thinker & Problem Solver: Comfortable addressing challenges and implementing practical solutions.
• Team Player: Works well in a collaborative environment while also being self-sufficient in managing tasks through completion.
• Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Comfortable navigating and adapting to new technology, whether it's software, platforms or digital tools.
