Job Description

We are a small, NYC-based Interior Design firm currently looking for an in-office Assistant Project Manager. We require a candidate with at least two years of experience in high-end interior design. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented and possess strong communication skills. They should also demonstrate a sense of urgency, excellent follow-through, and have a solid knowledge of both national and international vendors. We are seeking someone who exemplifies exceptional organizational and project management abilities.

Essential responsibilities include:
-Support principal and senior designer in all phases of design
-Pick up and deliver materials, samples, and drawings to clients, vendors, and job sites
-Assist in the preparation of client presentations both physical and digital design boards
-Assist with floor-plans, elevations and relevant drawings for furniture renderings in AutoCAD
-Communicate with and manage vendors, contractors, installers, etc.
-Build and maintain project budget estimates, installation schedules and order status docs
-Manage project purchasing from start to finish: creating specifications, client proposals and purchase orders in Design Manager
-Assist with on-site installations, styling and project photoshoots

Job Requirements

-Minimum 2 years experience specifically at an interiors firm
-Proficiency in AutoCad + Design Manager
-Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a design-related field.
-Knowledge of custom millwork and furniture details a plus.
-Ability to field measure and document existing building conditions.
-Excellent organizational skills including multitasking, time management + project management skills
-Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical view of potential complications
-Must be a US citizen / green card holder / or have work visa
