Joe Serrins Studio is looking to add an interior designer / project lead to our team. The open position focuses on residential interior design and décor, including selection of furniture, fabrics, rugs, lighting and accessories, design of custom pieces, vendor correspondence, procurement of goods, and site installations. Management of specifications and documents such as finish schedules, purchase orders and proposals, and order tracking are also part of the day to day tasks. Applicants need to have experience overseeing decor projects, and be passionate about their work in the interior design world.
Job requirements include:
- minimum of 3-5 years experience in an interior design studio
- legally permitted to work in the US and currently living in/around NYC
- proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign, Excel
- experience with Autocad, 3D software, and interior design management software
- an eye for detail and a modern design sensibility
- communication skills
- ability to coordinate multiple jobs simultaneously
Joe Serrins Studio is a boutique interior design and architecture firm established in 2001 and based in NYC. We focus on high-end residential design in the US and abroad. Some current projects include two penthouses in NYC, an estate in Santa Barbara, a townhouse in Vail, a private plane, and a house addition in Miami. Our studio is small, but ambitious, with an outsized emphasis placed on design, detailing, and innovation. Located in a repurposed printing factory in the West Chelsea gallery district, our studio is a loft-like space with an open work area, often covered in models, drawings, and material samples of all sorts. It is a workshop for developing elegant architectural and design solutions for world-class projects.
