Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic, positive, and very detail-oriented individual to join our team as furniture production manager. This position will be responsible for coordinating production workflow, ensuring that manufacturing processes run efficiently, and optimizing production schedules to meet customer demands.

Responsibilities:
*Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer requirements and maximize resource allocation
*Utilize capacity-based planning to ensure that we are maximizing production resources
*Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing departments and outside vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials for production
*Generate purchase orders to outside vendors for components, parts and stock.
*Manage and cycle-count inventory to ensure levels are sufficient for production needs.
*Utilize lean manufacturing principles to streamline production processes and minimize waste
*Communicate with remote customer service team on order status updates and weekly production schedules

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production planning, supply chain management, and operations management with previous experience in the furniture industry.

Skills Required:
*Proficiency in production planning and scheduling in the furniture industry
*Strong understanding of supply chain management and LEAN manufacturing principles
*Familiarity with MRP systems (Odoo), capacity-based planning, and inventory management
*Expertise in organizational systems and processes
*Strong computer skills, particularly with MS Excel
*Ability to clearly communicate and work well with others
*Excellent problem solving ability and follow through.
*Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
*Works well under pressure; excels at multi-tasking and prioritizing work flow.

Experience:
*5 years in production management/planning position
*5-10 years in the furniture manufacturing industry
*Bachelor's Degree preferred
