NATASHA BARADARAN is seeking an experienced Controller/Bookkeeper to join our company. This position will operate as part of our corporate team and be responsible for overseeing all financial functions for the five components of our business: Interior Design, Furniture, Textiles, Showroom and Manufacturing. We are a growing brand intent on streamlining our core businesses via infrastructure, efficiency, and productivity.
Our ideal candidate is collaborative and detail oriented with a penchant for smooth operations and an interest in design.
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Daily bookkeeping and financial management using Studio Designer and QuickBooks
- Accounts Receivable & Payable
- Process payroll (bi-weekly and weekly)
- Review Purchase Orders
- Client Invoicing and Collections
- Generate monthly financial statements
- Enter and code accounts payable and credit card transactions
- Record cash receipts and prepare bank deposits
- Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records
- Record and issue employee reimbursements
- Maintain budgets, calculate variances, and report to management
- Liaison with tax accountant, insurance broker, IT, and other outside consultants
- Communication with vendors
- Assist with human resources, including maintaining employee records and benefits
- Oversee insurance renewals, recurring expenses (software, materials purchases, etc.)
- Identify improvements via efficiency, cost-reduction, and strategy as they relate to financial insights
EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience in A&D industry accounting preferred
- Efficient and clear communicator
- Proficient in Studio Designer Webware, Quickbooks, and Excel preferred
