DALLAS, TX (November 2024) – Salon Art + Design, the premier collectible design and art fair produced by Sanford L. Smith + Associates, is thrilled to announce a new edition of the fair in Dallas, scheduled to take place March 26-30, 2025. This event will be held at Block House in Dallas’s East Quarter, under the fresh leadership of Executive Director Nicky Dessources. A diverse range of work will be represented, featuring contributions from local and international dealers, spanning various materials, practices, and creative verticals.
Salon Art + Design has solidified its reputation as a leading platform for engaging with the finest design and art from around the globe. As a cornerstone of New York City's arts calendar, Salon’s Dallas edition further establishes the fair as a year-round destination for design and art enthusiasts, with additional events planned leading up to, during and after the fair.
The fair will feature an extraordinary array of design—from vintage and modern to contemporary—alongside blue-chip 20th-century art. Attendees can expect a diverse selection of pieces, including furniture, studio glass, ceramics, art and jewelry. Exhibitors are encouraged to create immersive settings that reflect the innovative and eclectic ways we decorate and live today, echoing the practices of distinguished interior designers.
Block House, built in 1941 as a Masonic Temple, serves as a fitting backdrop for the fair, which is known for transforming historic spaces, such as the Park Avenue Armory in New York City. The fair will take over the two floors within the space, offering space for nearly 40 dealers to participate.
“We are thrilled to bring Salon Art + Design to Dallas,” said Nicky Dessources, Salon’s Executive Director. “This fair is not just about showcasing art and design; it’s about connecting with the local community and inviting them to be part of our story. We look forward to celebrating the unique perspectives and talents that Dallas has to offer.”
Dallas has emerged as a significant player in the art and design market, experiencing exponential growth in recent years. With a population increase of over 1.3 million residents since 2010, the city is now one of the fastest-growing in the U.S. This vibrant cultural scene has been further bolstered by substantial investments in the arts, including the expansion of the Dallas Arts District, one of the largest urban arts districts in the country. In the past five years alone, more than 50 new galleries have opened, showcasing a dynamic range of local and international talent. As the U.S. art market continues to flourish, Dallas is poised to become a key destination for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
Jennifer Stark, CEO of Sanford L. Smith & Associates, added, “Expanding to Dallas opens up exciting business opportunities for our exhibitors. The enthusiasm around this market is palpable, and we are eager to see how dealers engage with Dallas and its surrounding communities. This edition will not only showcase incredible talent but also foster meaningful connections that drive growth and innovation in the art and design sectors.”
A full list of exhibitors, special installations and event details will be revealed closer to the fair.
