On view at Ace Hotel Palm Springs, from February 17-25, 2023, Be Original Americas: Originality Deconstructed exhibition celebrates creativity by pulling back the curtain on the “how” & “why” of some of the international design industry’s most iconic products, demystifying what goes into their conception. Held during Modernism Week 2023, the showcase incorporates physical designs, disassembled elements, raw materials, and videos by Be Original Americas members Anglepoise, Bernhardt Design, Carl Hansen & Søn, Herman Miller, Fritz Hansen, Georg Jensen, Menu, Ligne Roset, Lumens, and Phase Design. The exhibition is curated and mounted by independent design writer Adrian Madlener with the generous support of Host Sponsor Ace Hotel, Imaginative Sponsor-Lumens, Innovative Sponsor-Fritz Hansen, and Inspired Sponsor-Crypton. Palm Springs Modernism Week celebrates midcentury modern design, architecture, art, fashion and culture. This annual show features more than 350 events designed to encourage education, preservation and sustainable modern living in the Palm Springs area. Attendees can take part in activities such as the modernism show and sale, signature home visits, architectural bus tours, lectures and a variety of other parties, exhibitions and gatherings. William Turner Gallery is pleased to present Atmospheria, a collection of ethereal photographs by internationally acclaimed artist Julian Lennon. Lennon’s debut exhibition with William Turner Gallery will highlight the drama of nature’s atmospheric forces, revealing his passion for the environment and deep commitment to its preservation. The opening reception for Lennon’s exhibition will take place on February 18, 2023, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The event will be in conjunction with the Bergamot Art Station Open House for Frieze Los Angeles, featuring 17 local galleries. The exhibition will be open to the public from February 18th to April 1st, 2023.
