At the World Architecture Festival 2015 earlier this month, Ole Scheeren of OMA was awarded the prestigious World Building of the Year award for The Interlace in Singapore.
The festival brought over 2,000 architects and designers to the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore for three days of industry events and celebrations. “At WAF, you have serious discussions about architecture, and start to see where we’re going to be in the future. It’s that dialogue face-to-face, with people who are doing amazing things that makes this one of the most important things that happens in architecture each year,” said attendee Michael Heenan, principal and CEO of Allen Jack+Cottier Architects.
