L.A.-based furnishings company Rose Tarlow Melrose House (RTMH) has announced the appointment of Jobst Blachy as Chief Executive Officer. Blachy will oversee all aspects of the brand, including strategic growth, operations, marketing and brand partnerships.

Jobst Blachy

Blachy has held senior positions in the home furnishings industry for nearly twenty years, most recently serving as President of Edward Ferrell + Lewis Mittman, where he introduced the William Yeoward brand to the US market. Prior to that he served Vice President of Trade Showrooms & Retail Stores at Henredon Furniture Industries.

“Jobi has an impressive background in the luxury home furnishings space, and we are thrilled to have him at the helm of this brand,” said designer Rose Tarlow, who founded the company in 1976. “He joins us at a pivotal time in our expansion and we are confident that we will benefit from his tremendous leadership and insight.”

Rose Tarlow Melrose House has exhibited substantial growth and expanded to include a number of licensing partnerships, such as the outdoor collections with celebrated furniture and fabric brands Sutherland and Perennials, which launched earlier this year.

“I am thrilled with the opportunity to lead a prestigious brand such as Rose Tarlow Melrose House,” says Blachy. “It is a company that I have always admired and regarded as an industry leader, and I welcome the opportunity to be part of its future as it continues its expansion.”

RTMH distributes its products in its flagship showrooms in Los Angeles and New York and through 15 select multi-line showrooms in the U.S, including Chicago, San Francisco and Atlanta, as well as international showrooms in the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia.
