Lindsey Adelman debuts new works, first-ever video at Wright
By Staff

Lighting artist Lindsey Adelman premiered her first originally composed music video, “Show Me,” at a new exhibit of the same name at Wright's New York City outpost on June 25. A 20-plus piece collection of new lighting work, mirrors, jewelry and other objects also lit up the floor.

“Most of my work incorporates a system of constraints and elements that run wild. This exhibition is a fantasy-based expansion of that struggle. Ultimately the battle between restraint and release is beautiful and it is the opportunity to create objects, which represent that relationship that is the thrill. Design is about the correlation of humans and objects, and I want to make objects that become part of people’s lives. The real life of my work begins after I say good-bye to it, and I wanted to use music and performance to capture that,” says Adelman.
