Just a few weeks ago designers packed their bags and headed to the furniture capital of the world to explore thousands of showrooms showcasing the latest products and trends. From lighting to outdoor furniture and metallic finishes, Editor at Large spoke with interior designers Jon Call, Jennifer Flanders, Kerry Howard and Denise McGaha to find out what they loved at High Point Market this season—and where they had the most fun.

Clockwise from top: Jamie Drake's Pearl Floor Lamp for Theodore Alexander, Kelly Wearstler's lighting for Visual Comfort, and outdoor furniture by Celerie Kemble for Lane/Venture

“Outdoor furniture by Celerie Kemble for Lane/Venture is an exquisite line to furnish outdoor rooms with. My imagination ran wild with how much fun it would be to decorate with these pieces. Jamie Drake’s ‘Pearl Floor Lamp’ for Theodore Alexander was a showstopper. Perfect proportions, elegant details, and exacting craftsmanship all work together to create a lamp that redefines glamour. I was also super excited about Kelly Wearstler's new collection at Visual Comfort. As always, she created something unexpected, unabashedly luxurious and sinfully crave-able. My favorite moment during High Point? Drinks after all of the parties at Printworks Bistro at the Proximity Hotel. Design idols, editors and bloggers all sitting in one room together catching up and having a nightcap to wind down after a crazy day. To be a fly on those walls!” — Jon Call, Principal of Mr. Call Designs

Clockwise from top: Kelly Wearstler's Liaison Double Tier chandelier for Visual Comfort, Julian Chichester's Cortes Dining Table, and "Solid Kiss" from the Oliver Gal Artist Co.

"The Liaison Double Tier chandelier from Kelly Wearstler for Visual Comfort. I love the large scale of this piece. The crackle glass shades add a lot of sparkle to this piece. This is a high-impact fixture and could be the focal piece in a room. Love it! ’Solid Kiss’ from the Oliver Gal Artist Co. is another one of my top picks. This piece can be made in a variety of sizes and was on display at market in a large scale. It's such a fun, feminine and dynamic piece. And I love the metallic gold color, which would work with so many different colors. I could imagine this picture hanging on a boldly colored wall, anything from hot pink to sapphire blue to black. This Cortes Dining Base with a custom Colourist lacquer top dining table from Julian Chichester is another one of my top picks. I love the colorful lacquered top on this table. The tabletop can be done in any color, and I love the idea of doing it in a bold color. As the centerpiece of a dining room, the colored top makes this piece a standout. I also love the clean lines and brass finish of the base." — Jennifer Flanders, Principal of Jennifer Flanders Inc.

From left: Barbara Cosgrove Antler Pendant, table lamp from Couture Lamps, and pendant lights from Couture Lamps.

"My first pick is the Barbara Cosgrove Antler Pendant. It was love at first sight! I ordered two for my new office I loved them so much. I also loved this gorgeous table lamp from Couture Lamps. The geode against the white background creates a beautiful modern lamp that could be installed in just about any room, although my favorite aspect is the rectangle shade with the soft corners. Finally, I chose two industrial chic pendant lights that average about 55 inches in length. I ordered a set of three to install in a model home in Florida. Go big or go home! My favorite party I attended was the Parlore Party sponsored by Lonny Magazine! It was held at a beautiful home near the country club in High Point—what an amazing setting and a ‘who’s who’ crowd of attendees. I was happy to see so many familiar faces, but more than pleased to meet so many new friends! — Kerry Howard, Principal of Kerry M. Howard Interiors

Clockwise from top: Koket's Chandra Chair, Zoe Bios Creative's Mirrored Swimmers Photography, Tommy Mitchell's Framed Tole Floral Sculptures, and Clint Smith, Denise McGaha and Jon Call

My top three favorite products from Market included Koket’s Chandra Chair, Zoe Bios Creative’s Mirrored Swimmers Photography and Tommy Mitchell’s Framed Tole Floral Sculptures. My favorite party was at Kravet as they introduced their new furniture showroom. Here I am with my darlings Jon Call and Clint Smith!” — Denise McGaha, Principal of Denise McGaha Interiors
