Decorex seminar program features Sophie Ashby, Francis Sultana and more

The U.K.’s premier luxury design market kicks off the London Design Festival with a four-day spread of exhibitors and educational programming September 17-20. Set at London’s grand and historic Syon Park, Decorex International celebrates a theme of “Collaborations” for this year’s 40th anniversary event.

While there will be plenty of exhibitors—more than 400, to be specific—on display during the event, this year’s seminar program contains a not-to-miss line-up, not to mention valuable discussion points.

The business side of design leads market conversations, with some of the U.K.’s top talents set to talk strategy. Designers Anna Burles, Polly Williams and Freddy Van Zevenbergen share their input as Charles Leon, BIID president and owner of Leon Black, leads the dialogue on how to best mix creative and corporate. Then the discussion expands to taking a brand global, as seasoned professionals Sophie Ashby, Nina Campbell, Dara Huang and Katharine Pooley share their industry insights.

No worries, there’s some creative talk on the agenda, too. Interiors stylist Emilio Pimentel-Reid predicts the future of design with the help of Cole & Son’s Kirstie Carey, HarrodS' Letitia Taylor, Ebay’s Chris Gardner and designer Francis Sultana. And the fan-favorite “In Conversation With” series will go one-on-one with designers Guy Oliver, Bunny Turner and Emma Pocock of Turner Pocock, Deborah Barker, Martin Hulbert and Jay Grierson of Martin Hulbert Design.

Registration for the seminar programs is now open online.
