Today, the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, located just outside of Copenhagen, is unveiling an exhibit called "New Nordic - Architecture & Identity."  This exhibit explores the relationship of architecture and culture and identity, and is the first in a series focusing on architecture as a field where collective memories and narratives are reflected materially and spatially,  investigating whether certain "Nordic" features recur in architecture, and what creates an architectural vernacular.

The exhibit includes "Nordic theatres" which feature personalities from the five Nordic countries offering their suggestions, whether as an object or film, for a Nordic identity today. Contributors include: Photographer Trine Søndergaard, designer Cecilie Manz, Playdead, chef and entrepreneur Claus Meyer and fashion and multimedia designer Henrik Vibskov, film director Otto Rosing, designer Karen Fly and artist Julie Edel Hardenberg, the design team Gudrun & Gudrun, video artist Petra Lindholm and video artist Elina Brotherus, photographer Sigurgeir Sigyrjónsson, the design team Fanney Antonsdóttir and Dögg Gudmundsdóttir, designer Gudrún Lilja Gunnlaugsdóttir, artist Kristinn E.
