The Vitra Design Museum is hosting the “Bauhaus #itsalldesign” exhibit now through February 28, 2016. The exhibition showcases some never-before-seen pieces from the areas of design, architecture, art, film and photography. Among the many featured Bauhaus artists and designers are Marianne Brandt, Marcel Breuer, Lyonel Feininger, Walter Gropius and Wassily Kandinsky.
The exhibition has four themes: The first is the historical and social context of the Bauhaus, and second is the iconic but lesser-known objects and the history between them. The third area studies the theme of space and shows how many designers were involved in the design of Bauhaus, such as stage artists, architects and artists who create color theories. The fourth area of the exhibition focuses on communication, typography, experimental film and photography.
