The 2016 Southeastern Designer Showhouse & Gardens will debut in the Atlanta neighborhood of Buckhead this spring. An annual showhouse of Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles magazine, the event invites visitors to a 20,000-square-foot English manor-style home designed by architect Dietrich T. Logan of Logan Design Group International and built by Bill Preston of Atlanta-based Paradise Builders Inc.

The five-bedroom, nine-bath home, which sits on a 3.5-acre lot at 3800 Northside Drive, also proffers a tennis court, infinity pool and 2,500-square-foot pool house. Other features: a two-story great room with 28-foot ceilings, a master suite with his-and-her closets, and a spa. The showhouse will be open from April 23 to May 15, and part of the proceeds will benefit Safe Kids Georgia, the prevention outreach arm of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA).

Suzanne Kasler, an AD100 who has produced collections with Lee Jofa, Hickory Chair, Visual Comfort and Ballard Designs, has been tapped as Honorary Chair and will design the showhouse’s dining room. She shares, “Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles is so significant in our world of design, not only in Atlanta, but throughout the Southeast…and because of its quality, it is also recognized on a national level. So it is with great pleasure to serve as the Honorary Chairman of the magazine’s inaugural Southeastern Designer Showhouse & Gardens. It is an honor to be involved, and we have a fabulous group of designers participating this year! Not only does the showhouse make a generous contribution to CHOA, but it is an event that inspires and connects our entire community.”

“There’s nothing more magnificent than Atlanta in bloom, and we are excited to debut this inaugural showcase of the best in Southeastern design as a beautiful harbinger of spring. The 2016 Southeastern Designer Showhouse & Gardens will be the ultimate interpretation of gracious living and quintessential Southern style, right in the heart of Buckhead,” says Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles publisher Gina Christman.
