The new design book The Dream Factory: Alessi Since 1921, shares a glimpse of Alessi’s history; the company, which was founded in 1921 by Giovanni Alessi, is now in what it calls its third transformation, with Alberto Alessi, president—and author of the book—at the helm.
Of the brand’s impact and its products, says author Alessi, “There are objects that are part of our everyday existence: things that we use without even looking at them, part of a neutral, reassuring domestic scenario. And there are others—those that make our daily routines simpler, more pleasurable, more ours.”
