Online décor company Global Home will be opening its first brick and mortar location, a New York City flagship at 25 E. 20th St. The company will celebrate the opening with a party on Thursday, April 30, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Global Home co-founders Joseph Giamarese and Vivian Hung

"We decided on the Flatiron district for the simple fact that it's the go-to location for the interior design industry outside of the D&D Building and 200 Lex. That's where we shop and our clients shop. As time went on, we realized that although our clients were based in major metropolitan areas, the vast majority are based in New York City,” said co-founder Vivian Hung. “So when the opportunity came up for this space, we jumped at it. We are excited to see our vision come to life and for people to have the ability to touch and see it."

Global Home's new outpost features design finds from throughout the world.

Global Home was founded by Vivian Hung and Joseph Giamarese after a backpacking trip through 21 countries on six continents. Both left corporate jobs in the early 2000’s in favor of a “country life” as well as traveling around the world, curating beautiful objects and bringing an exotic but modern aesthetic to others through the website. In addition to the furniture and décor for sale, Global Home offers interior design services.

Global Home's Flatiron district store is the company's first brick and mortar location.
