Over November 1 and 2, Veranda put on its Power of Preservation Forum in New York City for leading designers and architects. The two-day event, hosted by Veranda editor in chief Clinton Smith, included a luncheon; private tours of Hearst Tower, the Merchant’s House Museum, the Judd Foundation, the Woolworth Building and The Beekman hotel; and visits to P.E. Guerin, Kravet and Jonas. The event also included panels with Michael Devonshire, Olivia Brock, Max Sinsteden, Ashley Whittaker, Benjamin Moore’s Ellen O’Neill, Carl Minchew, Kravet’s Gary Searle, and Robert Tierney, former chair of New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission.
Designers and architects in attendance included Caleb Anderson, Kevin Bone, Chesie Breen, William Brockschmidt, Bachman Brown, Emily Butler, Nina Campbell, Lee Cavanaugh, Courtney Coleman, Joan Craig, Amanda Essex, Anne Fairfax, Mary Foley, Heide Hendricks, Thomas Jayne, Garrow Kedigian, Kevin Lichten, Zuni Madera, Jayne Michaels, Joan Michaels, Richard Sammons, Marc Thee, Phillip Thomas and Alyssa Urban.
