On Saturday evening, over 250 designers and editors traveling to France for Maison et Objet and Paris Déco Off gathered for a party hosted by designer Sean Leffers, Mathews Design Group, Marc Phillips, Lloyd Princeton and Castel in the home of James Cook for a celebration of design.
Leffers transformed a classically Parisian Marie Antoinette ballroom into a modern Moroccan fireside fete, layering four Marc Phillips graphic rugs in varying textures underneath a teal silk-covered ottoman and incorporating custom pillows in modern fabric by atelier Castel. Following the installation, Leffers, Marc Phillips and Castel joined the Mathews Design Group for an evening of revelry where the worlds of interior design and fashion conjoined in Cook’s historic Paris residence located next to the Hôtel de Matignon.
On hand to celebrate were Timothy Corrigan, Tom Delavan, Princess Marie Luise von Sachsen, Nick Fouquet, Iván Argote, Adrian Jonathan, Jérôme Gautier, Dayle Wood, Olivia Hosken, Santiago Arenas, Philippe Jordan, Amin Jaffer, Olivier Simmat and Maxine Ohayon.
Going late into the evening with entertainment provided by DJ Mathieu Quentin of Hôtel Costes and dancing led by two performers from France’s edition of Dancing With the Stars, the evening’s party was one of the memorable highlights of this year's Maison et Objet and Paris Déco Off experience.
