Job Description

We’re seeking to hire a dynamic Sales & Operations Coordinator to join our Greenpoint location team. In this role you will be responsible for driving sales initiatives, organizing operations, and overseeing order logistics from start-to-finish.

This role requires a proactive, problem solver with a can-do attitude and passion for design. We’re looking for a hands-on team player to execute many areas of Bower’s sales efforts, including but not limited to: Quoting, Invoicing, Overseeing Trade Relationships, Attending Openings/ Fairs and more.

Additional responsibilities include overseeing the physical care of products; managing inventory records, coordinating delivery/installation, and facilitating domestic and international shipments and loans. The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail and a general understanding of materials.

Qualifications & Skills
• Excellent written and communication skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas and negotiate contracts. Public speaking skills are a plus.
• Proactive, with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Creative thinker with a can-do attitude, a passion for design and a positive team player.
• Knowledge of the NYC cultural landscape and experience working in a diverse, fast-paced environment is preferred.
• Experience with domestic and international art/furniture shipping and customs regulation.
• Experience with Mailchimp, Slack, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

Job Requirements

Core Responsibilities

Sales
• Main point of contact for client communication and coordination including studio appointments.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and meet sales targets in collaboration with the Directors.
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, including wholesale partnerships, designer/architect relationships, and collaborations, including researching targets, strategic approach, proposal development, pitch efforts, and execution.
• Analyze sales and marketing data to evaluate the effectiveness of sales campaigns and identify areas for improvement.
• Communicate effectively and work closely with the production team to develop and maintain a steady production schedule on all orders.
• Availability to be onsite at NYC-based events (e.g. trade fairs, openings, etc.)
• Perform other job functions as necessary to ensure continued smooth operation of the organization.

Logistics/ Operations
• Coordinate all logistical arrangements pertaining to transportation, customs clearance, booking transports and requesting/comparing shipping estimates, packing, and courier needs.
• Develop and manage new/ongoing orders by creating initial estimates, processing invoices, track- ing production, and following up regularly on invoice payments/production updates.
• Issue loan agreements and review/negotiate lender terms and requirements of agreements in collaboration with the Directors.
• Plan Tri-state install schedules in collaboration with the Production team and white glove partners.
• Negotiating shipping contracts and quotes with shipping couriers and handling insurance paperwork when necessary.

Education & Training
• BA in a relevant field
• Design/ Fine Arts experience preferred
• 1-2 years sales experience required
• Proficiency with Quickbooks (required), Google Suites (Docs, Spreadsheets, Drive), Monday.com or similar.
• Excellent phone and email demeanor
