Her experience with both manufacturers and interior design firms gives her a unique perspective of both sides of the luxury interiors industry. A specialist in business development and tactical planning, Melissa is an asset to brands and designers looking to develop new growth opportunities. Drawing on her skills in strategic thinking and relationship building, Melissa’s problem-solving mindset assists clients in translating business objectives into actionable goals. Prior to opening Collyer & Company, Melissa served as Director of Brand Management for J. Banks Design Group where she was responsible for the firm’s branding, marketing and media relations. Before that she was the Director of US Operations for UK-based luxury brand Fromental for 9 years, relaunching the brand in the US and developing their sales and marketing channels. Her earlier career was spent with heritage wallcovering brands, de Gournay and Gracie, Inc., Melissa has a deep understanding of sales and distribution channels, executing aggressive growth plans and honing her skills in sales and marketing management. Born in South Africa, raised in New York and educated in Europe, Melissa brings an intuitive understanding of cross-cultural marketing. Melissa now lives in Westchester New York with her family and is involved in numerous design industry events throughout the United States and beyond.
